Five Finds Friday (a whole lot of photos)

Remember these?

It seems that Friday is here – and so am I.

And I’ve got a bunch of cute photos so I might overstuff this post with them.

You’ve been warned.

funny

There was a lot of funny to choose from this week.

Halloween brought some clever costumes.

But no costume anywhere beats the one that my friend Katie wore when she came over last Saturday night.

With the help of one of my daughters, she snagged my Colorado hat and came dressed as ………….. me.

fashionable

I’m going to stick with the Halloween theme here.

I think we’d all agree at my house that the most fashionable Halloween costume around was the one Mosely wore. Technically not a Halloween costume, but whatever.

She was dressed for her weekend adventure through her job at Fell and Fair. The event was called Weekend Warrior and I don’t know if she’s ever spent a more enjoyable weekend anywhere in her life.

These other costumes are pretty cute too so I’m just going to add them in.

Otto and Matthew were Calvin and Hobbes.

And – look at this cute tiny face of Porter as Major Tom.

Also – and completely off topic. Remember my post about trying out the Prose Curl products?

I’m really enjoying them. I’d say they give my hair more waves than curls, but the creme has been consistent and lightweight and my hair feels soft when I use it. I think I’ll save up and try some of their other choices soon.

flavorful

Not this.

Aw, who am I kidding? It IS flavorful. Especially Snickers, York Peppermint Patties and Twix bars.

faithful

It has been SO delightful to see such a gigantic project come to life.

In my little town we have been fundraising and creating a beautiful mural and it is almost complete. (I’ll share the final photos when it’s officially finished!)

Dreaming up big projects is a lot of fun to me.

Seeing them actually come to fruition through hard work and community effort – well, isn’t that beautiful?

feels

More than ever it feels as if I am watching literal time pass. Watching my kids get older from morning to afternoon. Witnessing exponential growth and change week by week.

It’s causing all the feelings and I run the gamut pretty much constantly but mostly these days I am feeling steadily nostalgic, endlessly sentimental and dangerously dramatic about all of it.

Look at these boys.

That tall one just brought me a cup of hot tea, served with a saucer.

The little one seldom walks by without offering a hug or a back pat.

The bittersweet taste never leaves my mouth because I am always wanting them to keep growing and to keep evolving and I am always wanting them to stay by my side and let me be engaged in their lives.

Oh bless. Parenting is all the lovely and all the hard at all the exact same moment.
