Thinking Putty: A Timberdoodle Review
This is a sponsored post. I received this item from Timberdoodle in exchange for an honest review. These thoughts and words and opinions are, as always on this page and in real and regular life, all completely and totally my own.

You’ve probably heard of this before – thinking putty.
It’s like a new take on Silly Putty. Except, it’s better.
I think we first found some years ago at a little toy store in Hendersonville.
The thinking putty is stretchy and forms easily into shapes. It’s actually a great tool to have on hand for kids who are easily distracted. It’s quiet and they can stretch it and mold it while they’re listening to a story or working on an assignment.
Timberdoodle has a new take on the Thinking Putty though that is lots of fun.
It’s called Mixed By Me: Hypercolor Thinking Putty Kit.
Who remembers the hyper color craze? I’m thinking it was the late 80s. Hypercolor was everywhere. I was a particular fan of this fad. My mom wouldn’t spend the money on the clothing because …. well, I’m sure it seemed ridiculous to her. So I saved up and purchased an oversized Hypercolor long-sleeved t-shirt and then proceeded to wear it at least once a week, more if I could get away with it. The shirt started out one color, but when heat was applied, it changed colors. The heat from your hand was enough to make the shirt shift colors and I’m guessing our teachers couldn’t stand this trend since it meant we were all frequently touching one another.
Anyway, this thinking putty is better than the t-shirts because no one has to keep touching you.
The kit is really a lot of fun.
You’ll receive five small tins (perfect for my house since I made the kids share) and a variety of colors for mixing and blending. You also receive labels for the tins soy can name your new colored creation anything you want. (With teenagers, I’ll spare you the silly names they came up with. Ah – those sweet younger years, where did you go?)
This kit would be a fun gift or reward for completing an especially hard unit or reaching break week or not complaining about your math lessons for ten days. You know, whatever you need to motivate your own student.
The thinking putty lasts for a very long time when it’s stored inside the tins properly.
This kit is an easy yes and even my senior had a good time creating the blends. It’s rare there’s anything that keeps all five kids at the table together these days so that was an extra treat over here.
