five finds friday (freckles, strawberries, plants)
The sunshine this week has been the actual best.
funny
I received this email from PayPal, the convenient way for you to receive and to pay money amongst friends, family and clients. Also the way to have a small percentage of that money disappear into the recesses of space via the service fee.
I just thought it was hilarious that their response to you not agreeing to the changes they were imposing on your account was for you to close your account entirely. And then, you know, if you close your account – these changes won’t effect you.
Uh, right.
fashionable
Today’s fashionable are my kid’s freckles.
Aren’t they the cutest?
flavorful
Strawberries are here!
And they taste wonderful in everything. Everything.
Like this super simple strawberry spinach salad.
faithful
I have never been gifted at growing plants.
But my plant loving son wants to try. And I would love to have more green in our house. More fresh plants. More simple beauty.
So I am trying.
I bought a small plant at Lowe’s that declared itself to be difficult to kill and easy to maintain. That was in late February. I told myself that if it stayed alive for one month, I could reward myself with another plant.
It’s still green and pretty in this month of April, so high five to me.
When my sweet friend knew I was trying to embrace a little more green in my life, she popped over to my house this week and brought me a lovely rhododendron and a spider plant, both in beautiful pottery vases that I would have picked out for myself.
I love them.
Who knew plants were so happy and would offer such a burst of … something good … every time I saw them?
(Well, I guess all you plant loving capable plant caring people out there knew this. But I didn’t!)
feels
This week the sunshine has drawn us all outside and I have loved that. My face is lightly sunburned from eating lunch outside yesterday. The hammocks have been popping up in the yard all week.
We have had most dinners and lunches – and some breakfasts – on the back deck.
I’m so thankful for spring.
