Five Finds Friday (22) (buffs & cute hairstyles for my girls & extra photos)
FUNNY
What my ten-year-old reads for pleasure.
Some kids outgrow their mom in height by the sixth grade.
My kid is going to outgrow his mom in brains by the sixth grade.
FASHIONABLE
Probably because of my die hard, long term commitment to the television show Survivor, I was introduced years ago to the buff.
The buff is headwear that serves many many purposes.
Some use it as a headband. Some use it as a beanie. Some as a neck warmer. Few use it as a tube top. I use it as my favorite head wrap for camping, sleep too late to shower days and just don’t feel like dealing with my hair days.
I wore one on my half marathon day.
(You guys – I’ve pretty much not run at all since then. That seems so sad to me. Sad. And lazy.)
I have a couple of buffs I’ve collected over the years.
In fact – I think Hannah has one that I should request to be returned. I seem to recall liking it. Maybe we traded. Who can remember?
Anyway – I think they are great and super handy and come in a bazillion color options.
Also. I just saw that they have created dog buffs.
Can we all agree that Ryder needs one?
FLAVORFUL
Piper’s Molasses Cookies.
Ugh. I forgot to grab the recipe.
You’ll just have to trust me on these.
(And I’ll try to remember to add the recipe in soon.)
FAITHFUL
I haven’t taken the opportunity to write too much about it but recently we spent a weekend at the farm and I am always and always so glad to spend time with these women who used to be girls and then teenagers and are now moms and trustworthy friends who always have my back and are such jolly good fun to be around.
FEELS
This kid in these glasses.
These boys all dressed up for a wedding.
And three girls who let me fix their hair so sweet before the wedding.

I want to know how to recreate that hairstyle. Super cute!
And I love your photos, even sideways. But upside down?! (Know that I am not making fun. I am completely and wholly technologically clueless. :! )

The hairstyle – easy. I copied it from a Pinterest how-to picture.
Upside down?? That is SO frustrating to me. On my screen they all look fine – right side up and no problem. But when I share them anywhere or people look at the blog on their phones – it’s all wonky. And I am CLUELESS as to why. I had a friend (who is more tech-savvy than I) and he tried all he knew and nothing fixed it. I don’t know!!
