Five Finds Friday (seventeen) (kayaks and gouda grilled cheese and the bad lip reading)
FUNNY
I can’t put my finger exactly on why this is so funny.
But it just is.
There’s Jack Black’s voice in there and it’s such ludicrous lip reading.

FASHIONABLE
Dapper Ink is a local print shop.
Their work is fabulous. (I have the best little business cards designed by Emma and printed by Dapper Ink. I love them.)
They have a new(ish) project called The Landmark Project.
I love all of their shirt designs.
But I am especially fond of this one.
(I do wish they carried it in the women’s cut.)
FLAVORFUL
I brought this favorite grilled cheese version out when all the buddies were here for that crazy long half marathon.
It’s SO good.
Beth agrees!
FAITHFUL
We write in a little daily journal each evening. It’s a one-line-a-day kind of journal called The Happiness Project.
Reading over what was happening at just about this time last year fills me with such deep gratitude I cannot even adequately place words around.
This was the week we were meant to go to Texas but illness kept us away and it was the week that an army of kindness swept over our home and washed and scrubbed it and made the kitchen all look new and happy and special.
It still makes my heart swell to recall the abundance of love and grace and generosity dumped on the heads and hearts of our family that week. It’s still the best kind of faithful that I know.
I’m still all kinds of in love with my open kitchen shelves and my beautiful wooden countertops.
FEELS
I spent an hour or so in kayak on the water today.
I heart a kayak.
I believe I need to own one. (Or six. Whichever.)
It was SO nice. Quiet. Peaceful. Nothing to do and nowhere to be for that little blip of a moment of time.
And the kayak was loaned by some super generous people who also just made my day with another little surprise and it all just added up to a Pile of Kind that was unexpected and marvelous.
