I’ll Call It A Craft.
The bare bobby pins had been resting in a wooden bowl on a stand in our bedroom for months.
Purchased at Hobby Lobby in the fall or before for certain.
The earrings were clip ons that belonged to my mom that belonged to her mom that maybe belonged to her mom, but no one remembers for sure.
And I’ve loved those clip on earrings for decades.
As a kid, I held them in my hand when my mom allowed me to peruse her old white fake leather jewelry box.
I’ve worn them in my hair for a while now but they usually fall out quickly. After losing one of the pair of little leaves (my favorites!) I decided I needed a better way to wear them.
Bare bobby pin meet clip on earring.
I only wonder what took me so long to think of this.
Using a dab of E-6000 glue (who named that anyway?) I attached the back of the earring to the bobby pin’s tiny flat plate and then I waited.
Easiest craft ever.
In fact, it’s probably unacceptable to call it a craft.
But I love love love the result.
They look vintage (which I guess they are) and I love sticking baubles and do-dads in my hair.
I have one flat bobby pin left from the pack of six. (And they were so cheap at Hobby Lobby that I know I’ll buy more.)
What else should I glue on that little flat plate and stick in my hair?

So clever! Would a button work?

beautiful.
Sarah W,
I love that! You could have Mosely make you a felt flower to stick on the last bobby pin.
