And He Speaks His Name . . .
My littlest man has been slow to speak.
It’s just not his thing.
So when I was changing his diaper the other day and he suddenly said a word that sounded exactly like his own first name, I ran for the phone right away.
I had to shoot a quick little video to send to Kevin so he could share in the magical moment.

Now that he can say his own name, Otto is all about himself.
In fact, his name is now apparently the answer to any question a stranger may ask him.
“Hi, little fellow,” says the man at the check out aisle at Publix.
“Otto,” replies my son.
“What’s your name?” asks the guy.
“Otto,” he repeats.
“How old are you?”
“Otto.”

So stinking cute!!!! He's the sweetest little man! Well, second sweetest I guess I gotta say as a mama, but all Eliot's been saying today is "No!" so he's not exactly at the top of my sweet list.

This is too sweet. Partially because this littlest man is so precious, but mostly because you can hear the excitement, adoration, and wonder in your voice, dear Lacey. I watched this about 5 times in a row because of that alone.

I know I sound like a person who has never heard a kid say his name – but it is just so sweet to me! 🙂
