top five
For all intents and purposes,
it might as well be summer already here.
Once the summer staffers move in over at the lodge, it feels as if spring is gone and summer has begun.
And they moved in yesterday.
And that means more lodge meals and a bit less cooking.
Which means that often our fridge looks a little bare.
But there are a few items you can generally guarantee will be found behind the one gigantic door.
Which leads me to wonder,
is that true for everyone?
What are the top five items in your fridge?
If I was to walk in to your kitchen, say hello and then open your fridge door – what five items would I almost always find?
I’ll go first.
1. Milk from Whole Foods. (It’s our favorite and the cheapest organic milk you can buy in our town.)
2. Italian Sweet Cream creamer. (Kevin may or may not be addicted.)
3. Real butter. (I grew up on a dairy farm – remember? I have to be loyal to the genuine article.)
4. Homemade Play Dough. (It lasts longer in the fridge and it seems to just hang around forever in there.)
5. Strawberry Jam. (If all else fails, find some edible plate and spread jam on it. Voila! Snack completed.)
Your turn.

#1 – Cheeses of every variety for every palate in the family
#2 – Too-large Sam's container of spinach, put in at odd angle and sure to fall out when next the door is opened.
#3 – Homemade kefir . . . I swear by it . . . amazing immune booster!
#4 – Oodles of fresh eggs
#5 – Husband's giant water cup . . . you touch it, you die!
LaceyKeigley
Oh yes.
The water bottle/water cup.
Kevin has two. And they are too tall to sit in the fridge so they lie across the top shelf, frequently rolling and bumping into other smaller items.

I'm not cool enough to have a blog like you, so these kinds of posts are a great way to get to know your readers! (Even if some of your readers should just arrange a real life play date!)
LaceyKeigley

Milk
Bread (my hubby swears it lasts longer and I honor that, even though I don't like it)
Applesauce (homemade)
Fresh eggs
Ranch dressing (see Mary's take on this)

I am with you on the bread. I guess that would mean I would have to toast everything.
I love homemade applesauce – but only served warm.
