HomeLife,  Piper Finn Willow

is there a funnier age than three?

Not one day goes by that Piper Finnian Willow does not make us laugh.

We think she is hilarious.

Example One.

After a trip to the Goodwill store I required the children to use some hand sanitizer.

I poured the goo in Finn’s hands and watched her face change as she began to remember the future flavor of her thumb, post-hand sanitizing.

She quickly determined her best course of action and controlled the situation.

Finn shoved her thumb in her mouth to “keep it clean” while she scrubbed the rest of the sanitizer on her free fingers smashed up in front of her wee face.

Example Two.

In the car while waiting for their big sisters to finish their theatre class, I asked Berg and Piper if they would like to read a few books together.

A question which prompted the following conversation –

Piper: Maybe the book is what made me sick this week.

Bergen: No, it did not, because you cannot eat books, Piper.

Piper: You can if they are crunchy.

Example Three.

Piper Finn defines privacy as being near you, as opposed to the way the rest of the world defines it.

As in, “Hey Mommy, are you going to the bathroom?  Wait a minute, okay? I’ll go with you and give you some privacy.”

Example Four.

Before bed this evening I told Piper, “I want you to stay in your own bed all night long.”

She looked me square in the eyes and replied, “I’ll need two things.  A skydiver and a bad guy.”

Lacey- I SO agree with you on 3 being like the best age ever. We laugh every day at the one living in our house. Funny -we have had the same issues with privacy recently- a TOTAL misunderstanding of what it truly means-and usually this conversation happens in the bathroom as well 🙂 and love the skydiver and the bad guy-ok, that is even funnier as I type it! What in the world?? very adventurous.

      Thanks Lori.

Yeah – I think all ideas and hopes of privacy are in vain, at least for a few more years anyway!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my visit to your beautiful blog!! You truly have a gift. I laughed out loud at your daughter's funnies above….seriously laughed. And then read them all…and your children's names…to my 22-year old daughter who is REALLY into baby names! She LOVED them!! I came over from the hope, but will be back for sure!! So glad you linked up!!

Thanks so much for staying and reading.

I am glad you enjoyed the names – I'm kind of obsessed with names. Now that I am finished giving birth to babies I may have to start adopting pets so I can overload them with names as well.
