bad word
The kids have recently been introduced to Kevin’s old collection of Garfield comic books.
They love them.
Odie has become a common name in our house and we often hear tales of what Garfield thinks about lasagna, Pooky and Jon.
Last night, sitting at the kitchen counter, Bergen made a mysterious request.
“Mommy, can I say a bad word just for fun?”
I looked up from the stack of dirty dishes I was conquering.
Hesitatingly, I answered, “Sure, son.”
He grinned.
“I hate Mondays!”

I love it. Kids are so innocent and it's great. Mine watched Sonic the Hedgehog recently and Tristan informed me that he didn't think they should watch that show anymore. When I asked why, he said that he thought it must be for older kids because they said a bad word and used 'rough' language. "Stupid" and "for crying out loud". Yeah, don't use those words around here, or my kids are going to call you out on it! :o)

I love this kid. And he's now given me something to read before class instead of my book that I should be readying.
